It all started in Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan in 2017 The founder is Hiroyuki Nemoto, who now serves as the president of the 刺青愛好会, Irezumi Aikokai, literally «Tattoo Lover’s Group». The following is a statement from Nemoto-san, from Japan to the world. Currently, we have established the largest tattoo enthusiast conference in Japan, creating a platform for sharing information with the world. We advocate for the artistic value of tattoos not only towards those often seen as uninformed among the Japanese, but also towards individuals who are against tattoos. We have deepened our exchanges with enthusiasts both within Japan and abroad, and we have made friendships with tattoo protection organizations all over Japan. Our passion is growing every day. Our efforts have been well received, and we continue expanding our activities by holding parties in various parts of Japan. We share everyday the beauty of Japanese tattoos and share updates on our gatherings with friends around the world through SNS.
