Tattooing makes its cinema in Rouen, France

A festival that combines a tattoo convention with thematic film programming, that's the challenge of "Tattooing in the movies", the first edition that has taken place on 11 and 12 June in Rouen. For this event, about twenty tattoo artists were present at the Gaumont Grand Quevilly cinema. Among the professionals on site to whom you can entrust a piece of skin you could find among others Mikki Bold, Bout de Charbon, Niko Nerdo, Punky Von Bacalhau. The ten selected films has been shown in theatres and on the big screen throughout the weekend. Some of them were already well known to film buffs, such as 'Soul of the Warriors' by New Zealand's Lee Tamahori, 'Alabama Monroe' by Belgian Félix van Groeningen, 'Memento' by Christopher Nolan or the great classics - indispensable to the culture of every film fan - such as 'The Tattooed Man' and 'The Night of the Hunter' with Robert Mitchum, whose fists are marked with the famous 'love' and 'hate'. Other activities included a wet collodion stand, where you could have your portrait taken like a retro film star. Gaumont Grand-Quevilly - 26 Bd Pierre Brossolette, 76120 Le Grand-Quevilly.
