If you are not yet familiar with the work of Italian sculptor Fabio Viale, there is still time to discover his impressive tattooed figures on display in Italy at the Museo Gypsotheca Antonio Canova in Possagno (Veneto). Fabio has made a name for himself in recent years by transferring tattoo motifs borrowed from the Japanese culture of irezumi and the prison culture of Russian tattooing onto marble sculptures of men and women. The museum, which preserves the historical and artistic heritage of Antonio Canova (18th century), is thus putting the works of the greatest sculptor of the neoclassical period in perspective with those of Fabio's contemporaries in this exhibition, which is open until 12 June 2022. https://shop.museocanova.it
