The end of the year was hectic for tattoo culture lovers who were recently invited to support two publication projects through two crowdfunding campaigns. The first one, "The Tattoo Writer", is a book dedicated to Japanese tattooing and the second one, "The American Traditional Tattoo" to the old-school style. Both projects have been successfully funded and will be published next year. "The Tattoo Writer", by journalist Pascal Bagot, also a contributor to Inkers, brings together 130 black and white photographs of the tattoo scene in Tokyo in the 1950s. These are completely unpublished images, taken by a great Japanese writer of the 20th century, Akimitsu Takagi, who was also passionate about tattooing. Bilingual English-French, the book is 200 pages long and is scheduled for release in spring-summer 2022. It is still possible to pre-order it (price: 54€). She tells the fascinating story in her book entitled: "The traditional American tattoo". This 200-page book with many illustrations, sold for 45€, should be available in June 2022.
