Henrik Grysbjerg is a tattoo artist from Toulouse, France. In 1995, very much interested by the art of tattooing, he decides to get involved. At that time, tattoo is marginal, the equipment is very hard to find and apprenticeships are mostly nonexistent. Henrik starts to make his own equipment and tries for the first time this intradermal art form. This self-taught artist opens his first shop in 1997 in St-Pierre, Toulouse. To improve his work, he travels to Canada for the first time in 2004, in hopes of discovering new opportunities. This was the first of many trips. Nourished by meeting many talented artists, he takes his work and style to the next level. Influenced by the Asian style with a modern twist, he likes to renew his work. He appreciates the coloured figurative style, and realism. These days, Henrik travels frequently to the U.S. to work in shops and conventions. His tattoo shop near place du Capitole gets bigger as he welcomes and trains many artists. In 2013, to get back in touch with his own work and to continue to grow within a personal environment, he decides to open a private shop in Esquirol, Toulouse, where he tattoos clients from all around France and Europe. Henrik now works by himself with his manager and wife, Thi-Vilay. He continues to devote himself to his own creations, both on skin and canvas. By S.
