Another must-have publication for lovers of tattoo history, in this case that of German tattooing, is this one on the tattooist Karl Finke, an obscure pioneer active at the beginning of the 20th century in the city of Hamburg and resurrected by the German researcher Öle Wittmann. Wittmann has been working for several years on another tattoo artist from the port city, Christian Warlich, and it was during his research that he discovered the existence of Finke and this 60-page flash book. The entire notebook and the naive, hand-painted motifs are faithfully reproduced in a superb contemporary edition (awarded several prizes) accompanied by pointed texts on the history of tattooing in Germany. Bilingual English/German. "Karl Kinke - A Flash Book by the Hamburg Tattooist" - 160 pages - 65€ https://www.nachlasswarlich.de/shop/
