Tattoo Heritage Project

Is it still necessary to introduce the American tattoo artist Charlie Cartwright? A pioneer of the "single needle" style, he is also the creator in 1975 of the "Good Times Charlie" studio with Jack Rudy in Los Angeles. Retired from the profession, Charlie is now involved in a museum project around an emblematic place of the Californian tattoo culture: The Pike. A popular amusement park from the 1960s-1970s located in Long Beach, The Pike was also the base for many tattoo artists, both established professionals such as Bert Grimm and Bob Shaw, and younger ones such as Bob Roberts and Charlie Cartwright himself, for whom the place served as a springboard. Entitled "Tattoo Heritage Project", it is now a question of raising funds through various means (donations, sales of derived products, etc.) and launching the construction of this place of memory for good.
