A forbidden love, especially when no futur is allowed. Against all odds they survived.
In 1945, when Auschwitz- Birkenau is liberated by Soviets, Lale and Gita leave for Australia. They set up in Melbourne and gather a family and a son : Gary. It took 50 years for Lale and his wife death to talk about his story. Maybe haunted by the surviror guilt, he didn't want to talk to a sibling or a someone who knew th e Holocaust or Jews because of this final regret : all of them he couldn't save.
